2025 Family First Credit Union College Scholarship Program

Family First Credit Union will be awarding three $2,000 college scholarships to outstanding high
school seniors who are members of Family First CU. This year’s theme is “F.I.R.S.T. – Family.
Integrity. Relationships. Service. Trust. – An acronym of Family First key values. Select one
and describe how it’s important to you in everyday life and your future.”

Eligibility
Applicants must:
• Have an account at Family First FCU in their name and be members in good standing
• Be currently enrolled as a high school senior at the time of application
• Plan to attend an accredited college, university or trade school in the 2025-2026 school year

Selection Process
Scholarship recipients will be selected based on their academic performance, community
involvement, extracurricular activities, and essay responses. 

Application Process
To apply student members must complete this scholarship application in full. Please attach
additional pages to the application containing your essay response. Applicants will receive a
score of zero for any incomplete sections of this application.

The application must also include two written recommendations – one academic, one personal.

The signed application must be submitted with an official copy of the student’s high school transcript. An official copy of the student’s SAT and/or ACT scores (please do not send the original) is an optional submission. If it is required by the applicant’s high school, these items may be sent directly from the guidance office. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that their school transcripts have been submitted. The application can also be submitted electronically below.

Applications must be postmarked by March 13, 2025 (if mailed), or received in one of our branches or electronically no later than Saturday, March 15, 2025. Family First employees and their immediate family members are not eligible. 

Scholarship winners will be notified by mail on or before April 9, 2025 and be presented with their scholarship at the Family First Annual Meeting on April 23, 2025. Thank you for applying!
