Scholarship Winners 2023

Family First is proud to announce the winners of our 16th Annual Len Szumiloski Scholarship; Elijah Delgado (East High School) Jamie Ganon (Fairport High School), and Joseph Coyle (Penfield High School).

Elijah Delgado

East High School

Jamie Ganon

Fairport High School

Joseph Coyle

Penfield High School

Each year, three high school seniors are awarded with $1,000 scholarships in the name of Len Szumiloski, our former Family First (previously Penfield Federal Credit Union) CEO from 1972 to 1997. Len passed away in 2005, but his spirit lives on in the Credit Union’s love for the community and the people it serves.

These scholarships are awarded to exceptional local high school seniors who share Family First’s core values (Family, Integrity, Relationships, Service, and Trust) and are selected by our Scholarship Committee based on their academic performance, community involvement, extracurricular activities, and essay responses. We are delighted to award these scholarships to these hard-working students and are confident they will continue to do wonderful things within their communities.

Congratulations to our 2023 recipients! We wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors!
