BINGO for a Cause: Alzheimers Awareness Month
June is Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month, a time when people across the nation come together to support those affected by Alzheimer’s disease and other brain-related illnesses. This year, the employees of Family First decided to make a meaningful contribution to this cause. Throughout the month of June, our staff rallied together to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Association Rochester Chapter, an organization committed to supporting research and providing resources for individuals and families affected by Alzheimer’s.
To generate funds for this important cause, Family First’s employees purchased BINGO boards. These boards served a dual purpose, offering both an engaging way to raise money and a platform to increase awareness about Alzheimer’s and brain illnesses. The contributions made by the employees will go towards Alzheimer’s research, which is essential for advancing our understanding of the disease and developing effective treatments. Furthermore, these funds will be utilized to provide valuable resources and support to individuals grappling with Alzheimer’s, offering a glimmer of hope to those affected by this disease.
Alzheimer’s is a disease that touches the lives of many, either through personal experience or through knowing someone who has been affected. In participating in Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month, our employees have showcased their dedication to the well-being of their community. Their efforts remind us all of the importance of coming together to support those in need and to foster greater understanding and compassion for individuals battling Alzheimer’s and other brain-related illnesses.
