Important Information Regarding a New Online Banking Scam

We have recently been made aware that scammers are spoofing the Family First phone number and are contacting individuals regarding “fraud” on their accounts. If you receive a phone call from an individual claiming they are from the fraud department at Family First and they request sensitive information such as your social security number, PIN number, or your username/password for online banking, please hang up the phone immediately and call us directly. DO NOT call back the number that just contacted you. Dial 585-586-8225 and choose option 7 for our Operations and Fraud Department.

Please note that Family First will NEVER ask you for this information over the phone, email, or text. If anyone contacts you claiming to be from a financial institution and requests this information, you should hang up the phone or delete the email immediately. A telltale sign that it’s a scam is if they are trying to pressure or rush you for this information. If you are unsure whether it’s a scam or not, always err on the side of caution and contact your financial institution right away at their official phone number!
