We are aware of fraudulent text messages notifying Family First members that there has been “a new email address added to your account from an unrecognized IP address”. If you receive a text like this, do not respond. If you respond, you will receive a call from a fraudster posing as a Family First employee. Do not give them any information. All Family First Branches and the Call Center will be closed on Monday, February 16 for Presidents Day. 

Beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 13, Family First’s mortgage lending software will begin migrating to a new system. This is an internal upgrade and will not affect your mortgage or your payment schedule.

During the migration, any mortgage payments you make will be received and processed as usual. However, payments may not immediately appear in Online Banking or the Mobile App. The upgrade is expected to be completed by Tuesday, February 17, at which time all recent payments will be visible.

Family First is thrilled to announce that Mickey Hyde has joined the team at Family First Credit Union as our new Business Development Officer. In his new role he will be focused on bringing the credit union’s products and services to the Genesee County area.

Mickey worked for Tompkins Community Bank for the last 21 years as the Branch Manager, Vice President at their LeRoy, New York branch. He focused on developing relationships with local small businesses as well as providing a wide variety of personal banking solutions to the community.

He has served on the Genesee County Chamber of Commerce Board, Leadership Genesee Steering Committee as Chair (Leadership Genesee Class ’06) and Junior Achievement Advisory Board. As well, Mickey has served on the boards of the Genesee Orleans Ministry of Concern, Leadership Genesee’s Funding Committee, and Wyoming County Community Action. 

He is a member of the Rochester Press-Radio Club serving in numerous capacities, along with attending the “Hot Stove Luncheons” benefitting Rochester Challenger Baseball.  Mickey is also a member of the LeRoy Hook and Ladder, LeRoy Moose Club, and the Sons of the American Legion. 

He volunteers with LeRoy Central School & Junior Achievement teaching lessons to classes, assisting with career days, job fairs, and their “Mock Interview” contest. 

A five-year former professional baseball player with the Philadelphia Phillies organization, Mickey has been inducted into the Genesee Community College and Pavilion Central School’s Hall of Fames.

He received his AAS in business administration from Genesee Community College, and his bachelor’s degree in business management from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Mickey has two grown daughters, Naomi and Samantha. He is an avid bowler and golfer and resides in Alexander, NY with his fiancé Jocelyn Sikorski and her two daughters, Paige and Peyton.
