Family First Credit Union Announces Merger with Focus First Credit Union
Expanded Services and Continued Commitment to the Gates/Chili Community

Family First Credit Union is pleased to announce its upcoming merger with Focus First Credit Union, a respected institution serving the Gates/Chili community. The merger was approved by the Focus First membership on December 1, 2025, and will take effect on January 1, 2026. As the continuing credit union, Family First’s accounts, services, and member experience will remain unchanged. Family First will absorb Focus First’s operations, making all Focus First members part of the larger Family First Credit Union family.
Through this merger, Focus First’s membership will transition to Family First Credit Union, gaining access to an expanded suite of financial products and services, including enhanced digital banking, additional lending solutions, mortgages, and more. The existing Focus First office will become a new Family First branch, providing added convenience for members on the west side of Rochester. The location features an on-site ATM, drive-thru service, and night drop.
All current Focus First employees will be welcomed into the Family First team, ensuring service continuity and preserving the strong relationships they’ve built within the community. The Focus First office will remain open and fully operational throughout the transition to Family First’s operating systems, a process expected to be completed by April 1, 2026. Until that time, Focus First members will continue banking at the Focus First location. Family First members are expected to be able to utilize the new location beginning in February 2026.
